When I looked into your eyes
I saw the disappearing future
That I once saw
Never again to reappear

When our hands touched
From the moment of our fingertips 
Before our hands held each other
I did not feel the same
The warmth I used to cherish in our relationship
The love I used to hold in my heart… … …
I felt nothing but the cold ice biting into my palm

A truce was all it took to burn everything
Memories no more than ashes

Therefore I chose to stand alone
I chose to stand alone on that hill of chaos and happiness
Whatever it may be

I want to stand alone from now on
So I may burn brightly like the scarlet flames
Never becoming hopeless coals that may die out

I will use my own strength
I will stand and show you
I can live without you

Forgive me for saying this
Only today
After half a decade
This is my answer to you
It is an interlude for you and me
When my world was wrapped around you
I forgot those who were with me
Even after that
I never dared to look back
For fear these eyes would rain

But when my fear was over
I turned around
It took me sometime but it wasn’t for nothing
I saw the people who I forgot
Standing proudly waiting for me
Waiting for me to take their hands
Waiting for me place my arms on their shoulder

Without fear they stood there
Offering me the support that I thought I never had
Today I stand tall
Burning my way through the path
Where you set yourself as obstacle
I no longer am blocked
I can live freely
I can move on without you
